On August 16, the first marine pure electric tug in China——“Yungang electric tug No.1” was delivered for trial operation at Lianyungang port, Jiangsu Province.
"Yungang electric tug No.1"can completely replace the traditional high-power oil port as a tug and fill the gap in the field of domestic marine pure electric tug. It’s core power system and equipment are independently developed and designed by China Shipbuilding No.712 Institute, with completely independent intellectual property rights, and its key performance indicators have reached the international advanced level.
"Yungang electric tug No.1"has a total length of 35.5m, a ship width of 10m, a full load draft of 3.5m, a speed of no less than 13 knots, a working time of no less than 8 hours, a total power design of 5000 kWh and a forward towing force of 48 tons.
The ship uses the high safety lithium iron phosphate battery pack (composed of Bosa marine lf280 battery) of China Shipbuilding No.712 Institute as the main power source, and two 2 MW hollow shaft permanent magnet motors are used as the main propulsion motor for the first time in China. It is estimated that the annual operation of the tug can save about 300 tons of diesel consumption, reduce about 900 tons of carbon oxides and 12 tons of sulfide, effectively solve the problem of air pollutant emission caused by diesel propulsion of traditional tugs, and has the performance advantages of zero emission, no pollution, low noise and low energy consumption; At the same time, the charging of the tug can adapt to the high-voltage shore power technology pioneered by Lianyungang port. Under the fast-charging mode, it can be filled in 2 hours. It is a very safe, green, environmental friendly and practical port tug.
Bosa lithium iron phosphate cell lf280 has obtained CCS type approval certificate, and has four advantages: high consistency (highly automated, intelligent and information-based production), high safety (square aluminum shell+explosion-proof valve combined cover plate, which has obtained the German Rhine tÜV explosion-proof certification), high performance (low internal resistance of battery, high discharge rate, stable discharge platform) and long service life (more than 7000 cycles).
The ship was jointly designed by China Shipbuilding 712 Institute, Lianyungang Port holding group and China Shipbuilding 708 Institute, and built by the barge branch of Lianyungang Port holding group. It is the first time that pure battery power is applied to offshore tugs, and it is also another breakthrough in the application of Bosa marine lf280 battery in the field of ships.
The smooth delivery and trial operation of the pure electric tugboat provides a benchmark demonstration and leading role for the construction of pure electric tugboats in the port, which is of great significance to promote the adjustment of port energy structure, accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation, and help achieve the “double carbon” goal.
